Montoya Industries originated from a passion for electronics technology under its founder and owner, Frankie Montoya. Frankie has nearly 20 years of history and experience in soldering and repairing printed circuit boards.

Meet Frankie Montoya

My journey into the world of electronics began in my early teens, fueled by a desire to innovate and create solutions. What started as a hobby of tinkering with electronic components for paintball and airsoft markers quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion. Over the years, I've delved into various projects... These have ranged from building homemade audio equipment to repairing gaming consoles, and even designing custom electric guitars from scratch.

But my journey didn't stop there… During my academic pursuits at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque, I became a Christian and found myself drawn to giving back to my community in meaningful ways. As a full-time minister with a local nonprofit, I utilized my electronic skills to support churches and community events, ensuring that audio equipment was running smoothly and efficiently.

My commitment to community outreach led me to Las Cruces where I continued to serve the local church. Through repairing and selling gaming consoles and controllers I helped fund my evangelism efforts at the New Mexico State University (NMSU), merging my passion for electronics with my desire to make a positive impact.

As my journey unfolded, I recognized the importance of formal education in honing my skills. I pursued and earned my AAS in Electronics Technology from Dona Ana Community College, and I'm currently pursuing a degree in Microelectronics and Computer Engineering at NMSU. My dedication to learning and growth led me to exciting opportunities, including part-time work with NASA and other government agencies, where I have contributed to the design and development of cutting-edge technology for space exploration.

At the core of everything I do is a deep-rooted belief in the power of community. I am proud to call Las Cruces home and am committed to its growth and prosperity. Our business isn't just about providing quality electronics services; it's about investing in the future of our community. Whether it's through supporting local initiatives, mentoring aspiring engineers, or delivering top-notch services to our customers, we are dedicated to building a stronger, more vibrant Las Cruces.
