Your system has been repaired and is behaving in a perfectly healthy way. Please be careful with the new port - it is a very solid repair, but damaging the port may make another replacement impractical due to the epoxy encapsulations.

Hello Isaiah, unfortunately I have fairly bad news for your system - while the system seems to be repairable, every single pad that is underneath the HDMI port has been ripped away from the motherboard. This means that a replacement wire will need to be run from every HDMI pin to another place on the motherboard underneath a microscope - a very tedious repair! Basically the individual copper lines that run from the motherboard to the HDMI port will have to be completely reconstructed and protected with an epoxy overcoat.

Normally I charge $10 per line that is run - which would be an extra $190 for all 19 lines, and this wouldn’t be worth it for you… But you caught me at a time where I only have a couple of customers and I think I can run a few alternative options for you:

• I am willing to repair your system for $180. This would change the diagnostic fee to $80 for advanced measuring and diagnostics.

• We can cancel repairs for $35, and the system would be returned so you can sell the system to a third party or look for other options.

• I am willing to forego the diagnostic fee and purchase your system for $40 ($40 cash would be given to you in exchange for your system).

We can also explore other options (like replacing the motherboard). Let me know what you would like to do…
