Hello Israel,

We now have an image on the screen, but as the system “warms up” it begins flickering - this is often the sign of a failing HDMI encoder chip that is behind the port, and it is likely that more work will need to be done in order to secure a strong signal. This will be difficult to do without heat melting the solder and undoing the work that has already been done under the port.

• We can attempt to replace the chip, and then replace the motherboard if this fails, for $240 total.

• We can cancel repairs and the system can be collected for $80 as is, with no warranty.

• I am willing to buy the system for $40.

Hello Israel,

I took a look at your system and the damage internally is extensive. We would be looking at $200 to repair this system, and would be looking at a $100 total repair effort fee if the system cannot be recovered. Special motherboard level replacement parts will need to be ordered and this will bring turnaround time to as long as 1-week.

Please let me know if you would like me to proceed with repairs.
